Privacy Policy
Last updated 17 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sixty-nine Studios Ltd. ("Glacey", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Glacey apps and website (the "Service"). Glacey is a voice-to-text tool, so this policy pays special attention to how we handle your voice recordings and the transcripts we create from them.
Glacey is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us about any privacy matter at support@glacey.app.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier.
- Audio recordings. The speech you record so that Glacey can transcribe it.
- Transcripts. The text Glacey produces from your audio.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your billing details. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Such as word counts against your plan limit, feature usage, and timestamps.
- Device and technical data. Such as app version, operating system, and basic diagnostic logs needed to run and secure the Service.
2. How we handle your voice
This is the part that matters most for a dictation app, so we want to be direct about it:
- When you record, your audio is sent to our transcription service and forwarded to specialized speech-to-text and language-model providers (see "Third parties" below) that convert it to text and refine that text.
- Audio is transmitted over encrypted connections.
- We use your audio and transcripts only to provide the transcription feature to you. We do not sell them, and we do not use them — and our providers are directed not to use them — to train AI models.
- We do not store your raw audio or the resulting transcripts on Glacey's own servers. Your audio is streamed through Glacey to produce your transcript, which is returned to you, and neither is kept by us afterwards.
- The transcription providers that process your audio may retain it briefly under their own data policies and our agreements with them — generally no longer than 30 days, and often less — before deleting it. We don't control their systems, but we choose providers and settings that limit retention.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including transcription and text refinement.
- To manage your account, plan limits, and subscription billing.
- To communicate with you about the Service, including support and important notices.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Third parties we share data with
We share data with service providers ("processors") only as needed to run the Service. They are permitted to use the data solely on our instructions and under data-processing agreements. These include:
- Speech-to-text and language-model providers — to transcribe your audio and refine the resulting text.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — to run and deliver the Service.
- Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) — to protect our forms from spam and abuse. To tell humans from bots, Turnstile may collect device and usage information. Your use of Turnstile is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- Authentication (Google) — to sign you in.
- Payment processing (Stripe) — to handle paid subscriptions.
- Analytics (Google Analytics) — to understand how our website is used (see "Analytics, advertising, and cookies" below).
- Advertising (X / Twitter) — if you allow marketing cookies, to measure our ad campaigns (see "Analytics, advertising, and cookies" below).
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Glacey and its users.
5. Analytics, advertising, and cookies
On our website (not inside the apps) we use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes, which you can accept or decline separately:
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site (such as which pages are viewed) so we can improve it. If enabled, it sets cookies and processes information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and how you interact with pages.
- Marketing — we may use advertising tools, such as the X (Twitter) pixel, to measure the performance of our ad campaigns and reach people who have shown interest in Glacey. If enabled, these set cookies and share limited event data with the advertising provider.
We load these with consent denied by default. No analytics or marketing cookies are set and no such data is collected until you opt in on the consent banner shown on your first visit. You can accept all, decline all, or use Customize to choose per category. The site works exactly the same if you decline.
- You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing this site's cookies and local storage.
- Google processes analytics information as described in Google's Privacy Policy; you can also opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. X processes advertising data as described in the X Privacy Policy.
6. International data transfers
Some of our providers operate in other countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. We work with providers under agreements intended to keep your information protected wherever it is processed. You can contact us for more detail.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically: we do not store your raw audio or your transcripts on our own servers (our transcription providers may retain audio briefly, as described in "How we handle your voice" above); account and billing records and usage data are kept as long as your account is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data immediately, except for the limited records we are required to retain by law.
8. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and isolation between our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using practices appropriate to its sensitivity.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses of it. You can close your account in the app, or contact us at support@glacey.app to exercise any of these rights. Because we do not store your audio or transcripts, there is little personal data of that kind for us to return or delete. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10. International users
Glacey processes data in the European Economic Area and in other countries where our providers operate. If you use the Service from outside these countries, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in them, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country, subject to the safeguards described in "International data transfers" above.
11. Children's privacy
Glacey is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
