Terms of Service
Last updated 17 June 2026
Welcome to Glacey. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Sixty-nine Studios Ltd., a company established in Bulgaria with its registered office at Sofia, Mladost 4, 620, entr 1 ("Glacey", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Glacey applications, websites, and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Glacey turns your speech into clean, written text. You record audio in our web, iOS, or macOS apps; we transcribe it and refine the result into punctuated, readable text that you can use in any application. The Service relies on automated speech recognition and language models, which are not perfect (see "Disclaimers" below). We may add, change, or remove features over time, and software may update automatically.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By using Glacey you represent that you meet these requirements and are able to form a binding contract with us.
3. Your account
You sign in to Glacey using your Google account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping access to your account and devices secure. Notify us promptly at support@glacey.app if you believe your account has been accessed or used without your authorization.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to allow anyone else to:
- record or transcribe another person's speech without their consent, or otherwise capture audio you do not have the right to capture under applicable law;
- use the Service for unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive, harassing, or abusive purposes, or to create content that is illegal where you are;
- bypass, disable, or circumvent the Service's security, authentication, usage limits, rate limits, or billing;
- use the Service, including any transcripts or refined text it produces, to develop, train, or improve any competing speech-to-text or AI/machine-learning model or product;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission;
- scrape the Service, create accounts in bulk by automated means, or send spam or unsolicited communications through it;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or the infrastructure that runs it, or introduce malware or other harmful code.
We may review activity and content for compliance with these Terms, and we may remove content, suspend, or terminate access for violations, as described in "Termination" below.
5. Your content
"Your Content" means the audio you record (your "Input") and the transcripts and refined text Glacey produces from it (your "Output"). As between you and Glacey, you own Your Content, including the Output, to the extent it can be owned. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate, provide, secure, and support the Service for you — for example, to transcribe your audio and refine the text.
You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it and that it does not infringe the rights of others. Because Glacey relies on automated transcription and language models, the Output may contain errors or inaccuracies even where it appears specific and confident; you are responsible for reviewing Output before relying on it.
We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it — and we direct our providers not to use it — to train AI or machine-learning models. How we handle Your Content is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Plans, billing, and free usage
Glacey offers a free tier with a limited word allowance and paid subscription plans with higher or unlimited usage. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor (Stripe), and your payment is also subject to the processor's terms. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We may change our prices on prospective notice (by email or in the app) before a renewal, and you may cancel before the new price takes effect. We may suspend paid features for non-payment.
EU right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. By starting to use a paid plan within that period, you expressly request that we begin providing the Service immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed. Except where required by law or expressly stated by us, fees already paid are non-refundable.
7. Licence to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, limited right to access and use the Service for your own personal or internal business use. Some components may be provided under open-source licences, whose terms govern those components where they conflict with these Terms.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service itself — including its software, design, models, and branding — is owned by Glacey and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right in the Service other than the limited right to use it as permitted here. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use them without obligation to you.
9. Third-party services
Glacey relies on third-party providers to deliver the Service, including speech-to-text and language-model providers, cloud-hosting and infrastructure providers, Google for authentication, and Stripe for payments. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for the availability or operation of third-party services we do not control.
10. Beta features
We may offer features identified as beta, preview, or experimental. These are provided "as is", may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and may be less reliable than generally available features. Any feedback you provide on beta features may be used by us freely.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Automated transcription is not perfect, and Glacey does not warrant that transcripts or refined text will be accurate, complete, timely, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under the law of your country.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Glacey will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot be excluded or limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or, for consumers in the EU/EEA, for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence on the part of Glacey or its legal representatives.
13. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Glacey and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, Your Content, or your violation of applicable law or the rights of a third party. This does not apply to claims arising from our own breach, and, for EU/EEA consumers, does not extend to consequences that were not reasonably foreseeable.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practicable, if you breach these Terms, if your use poses a risk of harm to Glacey or other users, or if we are required to do so by law. We may also discontinue the Service for legitimate reasons on reasonable prior notice; if we discontinue a paid plan you have prepaid, we will refund the unused portion.
On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end, while the sections that by their nature should survive — including ownership, licences you grant us, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — continue to apply.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and this clause does not deprive you of them.
Before bringing a formal claim, please contact us at support@glacey.app so we can try to resolve the matter informally. If we cannot, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria, except that, if you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes that reduce your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice — for example, by posting the updated Terms here with a new effective date or by notifying you in the app. Changes are not retroactive. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.
17. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Glacey regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the unenforceable provision is replaced by an enforceable one that reflects its intent as closely as possible. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
